  • Horror As 54-Year-Old British Woman Found Dead On Beach In Thailand

According to Thai police, her body washed ashore on Tuesday morning with no signs of assault.

A 54-year-old British woman was found dead on a beach in Koh Phangan, Thailand, a popular island known for its Full Moon Party. According to Thai police, her body washed ashore on Tuesday morning with no signs of assault, the Independent reported.  An investigation revealed she had been staying in a nearby bungalow for about a month. Authorities are looking into the circumstances surrounding her death.

The tourist was found face-down on the beach, wearing only an orange bra, with her underwear washed ashore nearby. Mr. Theerapong, who discovered the body during his morning exercise walk, immediately alerted the police. She was taken to Koh Phangan Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Police Lieutenant Pongnaphat Somboon of the Koh Phangan Police Station stated: “An X-ray of the victim’s body found a large amount of sand and water in her lungs. We believe the cause of death was drowning. We will call the British Embassy to notify her relatives. We do not believe there is anything suspicious, but CCTV images will be checked to ensure that the death was accidental.”

As per reports, she planned to check out of her accommodation on June 11, the day after the Full Moon Party on Ko Phangan. Staff reported that she often consumed alcohol, and she had injured her head after falling outside a supermarket on June 2. Officers inspected her room and found her passport and belongings still there.

The Full Moon Party, which began in 1985 on Ko Phangan, takes place monthly on Haad Rin Beach, on or around the full moon. This year’s event is set for June 10.

Notably, tourist destinations in Thailand like Phuket, Pattaya, and Krabi are seeing an increase in deaths due to strong rip currents, lack of swimming skills, and disregard for safety warnings. Visitors are advised to exercise caution, heed safety signs, and assess their swimming abilities before entering the water to minimise risks.

  • Bengaluru Techie Resigns Following Public Humiliation During Google Meet

A Bengaluru-based software engineer resigned after enduring public shaming and gaslighting during a Google Meet session.

A young software engineer from Bengaluru recently resigned after experiencing public humiliation during a Google Meet session. Despite seeking clarity on a project, he was met with gaslighting and bad behaviour from his manager, leading to an emotional breakdown during the call.

The engineer highlighted the lack of onboarding and structure in his role, stating that expectations were unclear and support was nonexistent. When he attempted to address these issues, he faced further criticism and was told to “figure it out” on his own.

He further said that that appreciation was rare and the fear of public shaming was constant. The manager’s behaviour included late-night calls, shifting blame, and dismissive responses to concerns. Upon resigning, the engineer was met with a sarcastic remark: “Good luck finding another job. Let’s see how long you last there.”

The incident which was shared in a LinkedIn post by Shravan Tickoo has received many comments, and in most of them, the professionals accepted that they have been in the same condition before. Those comments also shed light on the emotional toll of toxic work environments and the importance of supportive leadership.

Been there. Can understand it,” commented a user.

“This post hits hard, Shravan. It’s heartbreaking to see how leadership, or the lack thereof, can deeply impact someone’s confidence and mental health. A strong reminder that as leaders, our greatest responsibility is to uplift, listen, and create an environment where people feel valued and safe,” wrote another user.

“Reading this, I’m reminded of the quote: “With great power comes great responsibility.” Sadly, some forget that leadership isn’t about control-it’s about care. Toxic managers don’t just hurt performance-they break people. Grateful for the few who lead with empathy. They’re rarer than we think,” commented a third user.

  • Rahul Gandhi’s “Narendra Surrender” Jab At PM Modi, BJP Hits Back

US President Trump has repeatedly claimed, despite Delhi saying otherwise, that he played a key role in brokering a cessation of hostilities between India and Pak in May.

Rahul Gandhi took a fresh sarcastic swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday, declaring the PM had ‘surrendered’ during last month’s military conflict with Pakistan – i.e., Operation Sindoor, the 100 hours of missiles and air strikes – after United States President Donald Trump‘s ‘order’ to do so.

The BJP hit back swiftly; party spokesperson Tuhin Sinha told NDTV the remark showed Mr Gandhi “represents Pakistan’s ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence)” and is “misleading” the people.

Earlier, at an event in Bhopal, Mr Gandhi had declared, “A call came from (Donald) Trump and Narendraji immediately surrendered… history is witness to this. This is the character of the BJP and RSS (referring to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the ruling party’s ideological mentor).”

“Narendraji followed Trump saying ‘Narender, surrender’ by saying ‘yes, sir’,” Mr Gandhi jibed.

He then referred to the 1971 India-Pakistan war, which resulted in Bangladesh’s liberation and was fought when the Congress was in power, and said, “India broke Pakistan in 1971 despite threat of America. Lions and lionesses of Congress fight against superpowers and never bow down.”

“I am well aware of the BJP and RSS people. Apply a little pressure… and they run away in fear.”

    Trump’s Ceasefire Claims

US President Trump has repeatedly claimed his administration played a key role in brokering a cessation of hostilities between India and Pak in May. Despite India firmly saying Trump had played no such role, the US President insisted he “sure as hell” helped and repeated his claim in a US court.

India had warned Pak against retaliating to those strikes, making it clear that only terrorist camps and bases would be targeted. Pak, however, chose to ignore the warning and countered by firing armed drones and missiles at military and civilian centres in western India.

The missiles and drones were disabled by India’s air defence system, and India launched counter-strikes of its own. Missiles and air strikes pounded both sides of the border for the next four days, till May 10, when Trump claimed he had negotiated a ceasefire.

Hours later India confirmed the ceasefire, but made it clear that it was Pakistan that had reached out to end hostilities and that there had been no pressure from the US, whether diplomatic or to do with ongoing talks over a trade deal with that country.

  • Satellite Pics Show How Russia Tried To Avert Ukraine Drone Strikes, But Failed

Operation Spider Web: Ukraine, under its Operation Spider Web, targeted five Russian air bases after infiltrating its territory. Some of these bases are located hundreds of kilometres inside Russia, while the farthest one is located some 8,000 km from the Russia-Ukraine border.

Hi-resolution satellite imagery of air bases deep inside Russia, taken before Ukraine carried out what’s been described as the most audacious drone attack in military history, shows several Russian Air Force jets parked on the tarmac. These include strategic bombers, transport aircraft, and airborne warning aircraft.

Ukraine, under its Operation Spider Web, targeted five Russian air bases after infiltrating its territory. Some of these bases are located hundreds of kilometres inside Russia, while the farthest one is located some 8,000 km from the Russia-Ukraine border. The air bases targeted by Ukraine are:

    1. Belaya Air Base in Siberia’s Irkutsk – More than 4,500 km from the border
    2. Olenya Air Base in the Arctic region’s Murmansk – More than 2,000 km from the border
    3. Ivanovo Severny Air Base in Ivanovo – More than 800 km from the border
    4. Dyagilevo Air Base in Ryazan – More than 520 km from the border
    5. Ukrainka Air Base in Russia’s Far East- More than 8,000 km from the border.
    6. At each of these five air bases defensive measures had been observed presumably in an attempt to protect these military jets from drone attacks. A pre-strike image of the Belaya Air Base shows the Tu-160, which is the mainstay of the Russian Air Force, with tyres on its wings and fuselage – an attempt by the Russian military to keep the jets protected.

Satellite images also show how replicas of the military aircraft were also painted on the tarmac to give the illusion of an actual plane being parked there. These act as decoys in order to deter drone strikes.

But these could not avert the Ukrainian drone attack which was meticulously planned and flawlessly executed. A video from the Belaya Air Base shows plumes of black smoke and soot rising from the strategic airbase.

At the Olenya Air Base located in the Arctic, satellite pictures show several Russian Tu-22 aircraft – again a mainstay of the Russian Air Force – used to target enemy aircraft carriers. Besides this, there were Tu-95 bombers that were parked on the tarmac and were the jets which were primarily targeted by Ukraine.

The Tupolev Tu-95 are frontline bombers of the Russian Air Force. These large, four-engine turboprop-powered intercontinental bombers are nuclear-capable and act as a strategic missile platform. A video of the Olenya Air Base shows smoke billowing from these bombers, which were parked side-by-side on the tarmac. Several other platforms were destroyed as well in the audacious and daring attack.

Images from the Ivanovo Severny Air Base show Russia’s advanced A-50 AWACS or airborne early warning aircraft. These are considered precious assets for any military. Russia however, had already lost several of these aircraft during the years-long war in Ukraine. With only a limited number of these AWACS left, if the ones seen in this picture were indeed hit, as Ukraine has claimed, Russia’s air force would have reason to worry.

At the Dyagilevo Air Base in Ryazan, satellite images show the Ilyushin IL-78 tankers, which are a four-engined aerial refueling jet based on the IL-76 strategic airlifter. The photos show how decoys of the aircraft are painted on the tarmac to give the illusion of an actual jet.

In the air base in Ukrainka, located the farthest from the Ukrainian border, satellite images show the Tu-95 bombers parked there as well.

Post-attack satellite images are awaited to reveal the extent of damage caused to these platforms and the strategic airbases. Ukraine has said that as many as 41 Russian military jets have been destroyed in the Trojan-horse styled attack, where drones were sent secretly concealed in container trucks before being deployed remotely.

Moscow was caught off-guard presumably over the fact that these airbases are located so far inside Russia that the sheer distance was enough to keep aircraft safe from a Ukrainian attack. Though western allies have supplied Ukraine with missiles too – the US-made ATACMS and the British-French-made Storm Shadow – neither has the range to hit these air bases located deep inside Russian territory.

Despite the successful drone attack, the Russian Air Force, which has an immensely greater aircraft fleet, maintains air superiority over Ukraine. Ukraine’s attack though has given a huge boost to Kyiv’s morale, while creating a big dent on the morale of Moscow.

  • Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Punjab Kings, IPL 2025 Final Highlights: Virat Kohli’s RCB End 18-Year Wait For Title, Beat PBKS By 6 Runs In Final

Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Punjab Kings Highlights, IPL 2025 Final: RCB finally managed to win an IPL title in their fourth appearance in the final.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 6 runs in the final to clinch their first-ever Indian Premier League (IPL) title. The Rajat Patidar-led side, that has cricketing icon Virat Kohli, ended its 18-year long wait for a maiden IPL trophy. Opting to bowl first, PBKS restricted RCB to 190 for 9, with Arshdeep Singh (3 for 40) and Kyle Jamieson (3 for 48) being the major contributors. Virat Kohli was top-scorer for RCB with 43 off 35. RCB never got going in the innings and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. In reply, Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2 for 38) and Krunal Pandya (2 for 17) bowled magical spells to stop PBKS at 184 for 7 in 20 overs.

This is gold. Virat Kohli is being interviewed alongside AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle. Kohli points out that the phrase is now ‘Ee Saala Cup Namdu’. Hugs and laughter among the holy trinity of RCB. Incredible scenes.

One year after the women did it, the men have done it too. Royal Challengers Bengaluru, arguably the most popular franchise, can finally go back and look at the IPL trophy in their cabinet. A long, long wait, but now, an emotional release.

‘Ee Saala Cup Namde’ finally becomes ‘Ee Saala Cup Namdu’.
